I am difficult to please. Most contractors don’t rate even two stars with me. We met Don Rasmussen, Bob Burns, and Will Newman from Straitline at the 2011 Home and Garden Show. I did my homework on them, and contacted their references. When I started working with them to design our partially covered deck, they all showed incredible patience with me. It took me from June to September to get the design “just right”, but Will and Bob never indicated any frustration with how long it was taking. Will is a genius with the computer generated designs. When they started the project, John (sorry, I can’t remember his last name) the project foreman made sure all the work was done right, and deadlines were met on time. The work crew were professional and well qualified. They didn’t just meet my expectations, they exceeded them. Our new deck is the talk of the neighbors, and two of them have asked me for contact info on Straitline to get their decks done. In the construction field, it is not unusual to find shoddy workmanship, delays, and unmet expectations. Not with Straitline! They are the best I have ever done business with, bar none!

This patio cover project was our first time dealing with Straitline. We have lived in our home for over 11 years and were never able to agree on what we wanted for a patio. I really thought that we would never have a nice patio, but, thanks to Straitline, we do.
We met Will Neuman at the Home and Garden Show. He is the in-house designer for Straitline and he suggested that he could help us design something. It wasn’t long before we had a design and it got better from there.
We worked next with Donovan to get everything going. Straitline handled the permits and the arranged for everything from the smallest of details. We just had to sit back and watch it take shape.
My most important comment about Straitline is not only the quality of the work, which was excellent, but also the lines of communication. Donovan or Will would always call and let us know what was next, who or what would be coming and when, and always checked to see if we had any questions or comments along the way. It was so nice to be treated this way. Just knowing what was going on was so much better than being in the dark every day.
We live on a corner and the neighbors are always walking down the street. We had so many comments about how nice it looked.
My only negative was that fall and winter came too fast and that I have to wait till next spring to put my flowers back out and truly enjoy our patio. I love just looking at how nice it is. It looks like it has always been there, rather than an add on 11 years later.
Straitline will get my vote for any future projects and we highly recommend them to anyone we talk to.

Straitline Construction has re decked my existing deck & extended it out 15′ x 16′ and installed a Trex Railing complete with lighting on all posts. Just a note to express our satisfaction with the work you did on our deck remodel and expansion.
The doubling of the floor joists and adding the sealer material to all horizontal surfaces was a good idea. No squeaks!
The materials were as promised and the installation worksmanship was very good.
The additional work and engineering you did for the support columns was also good. It appears that the footers and caissons will be more than adequate for the future construction of a full deck cover consisting of an extension of the existing roof.
Although the post lighting was problematic for the manufacturer, you achieved the necessary modifications to make the deck lighting look great.
You handled the small extra items that arose during construction professionally and with reasonable pricing.
